Espionage (Md. Sakir) Case.

As per GOI, MHA order No. vide F.No.11011/07/2014–IS.IV dated 18.06.2014, NIA has taken over the investigation of FIR No.01/2014 of ‘Q’ Branch CID, Chennai City Police Station, as Case No. RC-02/2014/NIA/Hyd under sections 16, 17, 18 and 20 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act- 1967 and Sections 120 B, 34, 124 A and 489(C) IPC.

Summary of Allegations

One Sri Lankan national Muhammad Sakir Hussaien conspired with one Amir Jubair Siddique, working in Pakistan High Commission at Colombo, Sri Lanka, and his higher officer Boss @ Shah, to cause explosions at the office of US Consulate in Chennai and Israel Embassy at Bengaluru for their allegedly anti-Muslim stance. In order to carry out their plan the officials sent FICN amounting to five lakh rupees through some persons to Tamil Nadu.

Present Status

Further Investigation is continuing against the absconding accused.
