As per GOI, MHA Order No No. 11034/36/2011-IS-IV dated 06.01.2012 NIA has taken over the investigation of FIR No Cr.No.655/2010 Dated 14/07/2010 of Nedumbaserry Police Station, and re-registered the case on 16.02.2012 at PS NIA, Hyderabad as case No. RC- 03/2012/NIA/HYD under section IPC –Sec U/s 489 (A)&(C), 120 (B) r/w 34 IPC.

Summary of Allegations

DRI (Directorate of Revenue Intelligence), Department Regional Unit, Ernakulam, intercepted one passenger at arrival hall of Nedumbassery International Airport, Kochi from Dubai by flight No EK 532 on 11.03.2010 and recovered Fake Indian Currency of face value of Rs.24,16,000/- from him.

Present Status

Charge sheet against 02 accused persons on 14.02.2014 and 01 accused person on 01.06.2015 were filed before the Hon'ble NIA Special Court, Ernakulam. Investigation against two absconding accused is in progress.
