As per GOI, MHA order No. 11011/18/2015-IS.IV dated 11/05/2015 NIA suo motu took over the investigation of FIR No. 20/2015 dated. 02/04/2015 of Police station Khonsa , District Tirap, Arunachal Pradesh under Sections 302, 326, 121, 120(B), 212(a) & 34 of IPC r/w Sections 24(1A) & 27 of Arms Act, Section 04 of Explosive Substances Act and Section 15(a)(i) of UA(P) Act and re- registered the case on 25/05/2015 at Police Station NIA, Guwahati as Case No. RC-02/2015/NIA/GUW under sections 302, 326, 121, 120(B), 212 & 34 of IPC r/w Sections 25(1A) / 27 of Arms Act, Section 4 of Explosive Substances Act and Section 16 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967 .

Summary of Allegations

On 02/04/2015 at about 0830 hrs the NSCN(IM) cadres led by SS Sgt Maj Ayo Tangkhul , SS Capt Kapai, SS Lt Ami Tangkhul, SS Lt Col Kewang Hassik, SS Maj Anok Wangsu and SS Sgt Maj Chenaye Tangkhul @ Ayo with the assistance and shelter provided by RP, President , CB & Raja of Tupi and Hunkan villages involving an armed attack leading to the killing of three (03) and injury to three (03) more personnel of the 4th Rajput Regiment of the Indian Army on 02.04.2015 at around 0830 hrs near village Tupi , under Police Station Khonsa , District Tirap located at a distance of about 15 km from Khonsa town on the Khonsa-Longding road and wih an intention to wage war against the Union of India.
