As per Government of lndia, Ministry of Home Affairs order No. 11034/75/2014-lS.iV dated 06/08/20l5, National Investigation Agency (NIA) took over the investigation of FIR No. 60/2015 dated.06/08/2015, registered at Chenani PS, District Udhampur and re- registered the case on 06/07/2015 at NIA Police Station, New Delhi as Case No. RC-08/2015/NIA/DLI , sections 120, 120B, 302, 307 of Ranbir Penal Code, Section 7, 27 of Arms Act and section 15, 16 of UA(P) Act.

Summary of Allegations

On 5th Aug, 2015 at about 0700 hrs, a BSF convoy was ambushed by terrorists on Jammu­ Srinagar highway in District Udhampur,Jammu & Kashmir. In the said ambush by terrorists, two BSF personnel were killed and 13 BSF personnel sustained injuries due to the indiscriminate firing by the terrorists.

Present Status of Investigation

The first chargesheet has been filed against 8 accused persons on 28th Jan 2016. Further investigation in the case is continuing.
