As per Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Order No. 1101113312015-IS.IV dated 26/06/2015, National Investigation Agency (NIA) took over the investigation of FIR No.25/2015 dated 12/05/2015 of Police Station GRPS Police Station, Dum Dum, District -24 Paraganas (North) West Bengal and re-registered the case on 03/07/2015 at NIA Police Station, New Delhi as Case RC-07/2015/NIA/DLI U/s -341,323,325,326,307,427, 286 &34 of IPC, Section 3 & 4 of Explosive Substances Act and Section 150 &151 of Railway Act.

Summary of Allegations

On 12/05/2015, a bomb blast occurred in a compartment of Train No.31811 (Sealdah to Krishnanagar EMU Local) at Titagarh Railway Station in Sealdah Division of Eastern Railway in West Bengal in which 15 persons sustained injuries, 6 of them seriously, and one of them died subsequently due to the injury sustained.

Case has been handed over to State Govt. of West Bengal.
