As per Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs No. 11011/32/2015-IS.IV dated 09/06/2015, National Investigation Agency(NIA) took over the investigation of FIR No. 254/2015 dated. 07/05/2015, registered at Baishnab Nagar Police Station, Malda West District, West Bengal and re-registered the case on 12/06/2015 at NIA Police Station, New Delhi as Case No. RC-06/2015/NIA/DLI, Sections 489 B, 489 C and 120 B of Indian Penal Code.

Summary of Allegations

On 07/05/2015 high quality FICNs having face value of Rs.64,65,000/-.was seized in the limits of Baishnab Nagar Police Station, District Malda,West Bengal.The FICN was meant for circulation in various parts of the country through a network of operators with the intent to damage the monetary stability of India.
