Case Title
Seizure of FICNs of face value equivalent to Rs 20 lakhs at Old Delhi Rly. Station.
As per Government of India Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), order No.F.No.11011/26/2015-IS-IV dated 30.04.2015, National Investigation Agency (NIA) took over the investigation of FIR No. 15/2015 dated 25.02.2015 of Police Station Special Cell, Lodhi Colony,
New Delhi and re registered the case at NIA Police Station, New Delhi as Case RC-03/2015/NIA/DLI under sections 120(B) / 489(B) and 489(C) on 11.05.2015.
Summary of Allegations
On 25/02/2015 at about 11:05 AM, on the basis of specific information Special Cell, Delhi Police apprehended Samir Mansuri and Kudrat Khan S/o Habib Khan both R/o Baid Village, Agar Distt. Malwa, M.P. from platform No.5, Old Delhi Railway Station, Delhi
with FICN equivalent to Rs.20,00,000/- where they arrived in Farakka Express Train. Investigation provided evidence to the effect that these high quality fake currency notes were printed in Pakistan and smuggled into India through Indo-Bangladesh border for
circulation.
Present Status of Investigation
A charge sheet against 02 accused persons on 21/08/2015 and Supplementary Charge sheet against 01 accused person on 19/12/2015 have been filed before the NIA Special Court, Patiala House, New Delhi.. Further investigation is continued in the case.
