Case Title

IED Blast at Bijnaur, Uttar Pradesh

As per Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Order No. 11011/67/2014/IS.IV dated 24/04/2015, National Investigation Agency (NIA) took over the investigation of FIR No.590/2014 of Kotwali City Police Station, District Bijnaur, Uttar Pradesh and re-registered the case on 30/04/2015 at NIA Police Station , New Delhi as Case RC-01/2015/NIA/DLI U/s -121 (A) & 122 of Indian Penal Code, Section 25 of Arms Act , Sections 18,13&23 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 and Section 4 & 5 of Explosive Substances Act.

Summary of Allegations

On 12/09/2014 at about 11:20 am , a bomb blast took place in a rented room of a house at B-4 MohallaJatan, Bijnaur, Uttar Pradesh. Six persons including one injured, residing there, escaped immediately after the blast. These persons were engaged in preparation and assembling of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in furtherance of larger conspiracy to wage war against the Government of India by organising terror attacks in different parts of the Country.

Present Status of Investigation

State Police has filed  two charge-sheets in this case . Trial started.
