Bomb Explosion at Distt-Burdwan, West Bengal

As per GOI, MHA order F. No. 11011/53/2014/IS.IV dated 09 October, 2014, NIA took over the investigation of FIR No.1134/2014 of Police Station Burdwan, Dist. Burdwan, West Bengal and re-registered the case on 10.10.2014 at PS, NIA, Delhi as Case RC-03/2014/NIA/DLI U/s -120B, 121A, 122,123, 326, 307, 286 & 34 of IPC, Section 16, 18, 18A ,19 & 20 of UA (P) Act and Section 3 & 4 of Explosive Substances Act.

Summary of Allegations

Two persons were killed and another injured in a bomb explosion in a rented house at Khagragarh, under Police Station Burdwan, West Bengal, on 2nd October, 2014. Subsequently it was revealed that these individuals and others present in the house, believed to be members of Jamat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), were engaged in preparation of bombs, ammunition/arms, maintaining hideouts and organizing terrorist training camps in pursuance of a larger conspiracy to organise terrorist attacks in different parts of India and in Bangladesh.

Present status of Investigation

Case is under further investigation u/s 173(8) Cr.PC.
