As per GOI, MHA order No. 11011/46/2013-IS.IV dated 09/07/2013, NIA took over the investigation of FIR No. 162,/2013,163/2013 and 164/2013 dated 07/07/2013 of Bodh Gaya PS, Bihar and re-registered three cases on 10/07/2013 at PS NIA, New Delhi as Case RC-07/2013/NIA/DLI, RC-08/2013/NIA/DLI and RC-09/2013/NIA/DLI.

Summary of Allegations

Serial Bomb Blasts were caused by unknown terrorists at the Maha Bodhi Temple Complex in which 04 Bombs exploded at (a) Tara Ghar/Mandir, (b) in an enclosure near the main temple, (c) In front of the Mahabodhi Tree and (d) near the fuel tank of the BTMC Ambulance stationed near Deep Ghar, (all inside the Temple complex) in which two persons were injured on 07.07.13 between 0520 hrs to 0600 hrs.

Present Status of Investigation

A combined charge sheet in above three cases (RC-07, 08 & 09/2013/NIA-DLI) against 03 accused persons has been filed by NIA on 29/05/2014 and Supplementary charge sheet filed against 03 accused persons on 11/09/2014  before the Hon’ble NIA Special court Patna, Bihar.

The case is under trial.
