Summary of Allegations

The Central Government has received information regarding registration of a case FIR No. 04/2020 dated 05.01.2020 at PS Chandwa, District Latehar, Jharkhand under sections 386, 411,120B of Indian Penal Code, section 17 of Criminal Law Amendment Act and sections 13, 16, 17, 20, 21 & 23 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, relating to arrest of 03 persons namely (i) Rajesh Kumar Ganjhu r/o village Hesala Banjhi Tola, PS Chandwa, District Latehar, Jharkhand (ii) Baijnath Ganjhu r/o village Lukuiya Jagunjata, PS Chandwa, District Latehar, Jharkhand and (iii) Kunwar Ganjhu r/o village Heshla Tola, PS Chandwa, District Latehar, Jharkhand and seizure of Rs. 05 lakh in cash from their possession.

And whereas, two arrested accused persons in this case namely Baijnath Ganjhu and Rajesh Ganjhu are also accused in NIA Case No. RC-25/2020/NIA/DLI relating to killing of 04 policemen and looting of their weapons by cadres of CPI(Maoist).

Present Status of Investigation

The case is under investigation.
