Summary of Allegations

Relating to economic blockade staged on the railway track and roads at Chabua town on 09.12 2019 by protesters headed by Akhil Gogoi against CAB. During the protest, one Sub-Inspector, Tulumoni Dowarah was targeted and attacked by the protesters by throwing stones, as a result of which, he sustained grievous injuries and lost two teeth permanently with severe injuries on his mouth. The protests against CAB in Assam were organized with intention to disturb the unity and integrity of India.

Present Status of Investigation

Charge sheet filed against 4 arrested accused on 26.06.2020. The case is under trial and further investigation continued.
