Summary of Allegations

The Central Government has received information regarding the registration of FIR No. 07/2019 dated 19.07.2019 at PS AHTU Khunti District Khunti, Jharkhand under sections 363, 370(3)(4)(5)(6), 370(A), 371,374, 120B, 420 & 34 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 16, 18 of the Bonded Labor System (Abolition) Act relating to the arrest of one notorious human trafficker namely Panna Lal Mahto, s/o Late Choyta Ganjhu r/o village Gana Loya, PS Murhu, District Khunti, Jharkhand on 19.07.2019 by policy party of PS Khunti from his brother's house at village Khunti Toli. The preliminary interrogation has suggested that he has been running a human trafficking network in the guise of placement agency in Delhi and brings poor and innocent young boys and girls of Jharkhand on the pretext of providing jobs in Delhi and further traffic them to different areas of various states.

The case is under investigation.
