As per Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Order No. I-11034/39/2011-IS.IV dated 07/09/2011 National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the investigation of the FIR No. 49/2011 of Police Station Special Cell, New Delhi, dated 07/09/2011
and re- registered the case on 07/09/2011 at NIA Police Station , New Delhi as Case No. RC-09/2011/NIA/DLI Under section 302,307,323,325,120(B) of IPC, Section 16 of UA (P) Act and section 3, 4,5 of Explosives Substance Act.
Summary of Allegations
Unknown accused persons committed terrorist acts by exploding explosives near reception counter, between Gate No. 4&5, of Delhi High Court causing death and severe injuries to a number of persons
Present Status
NIA filed charge sheet on 13/03/2012 against 06 accused persons and a supplementary charge sheet on 27/08/2013 against 01 accused person before the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, NIA, PHC, New Delhi. One juvenile accused has been found involved in the crime
and the Hon’ble Juvenile Justice Board vide order dated 09/07/2014 sent the Juvenile accused to three years custody. Trial of the case is in progress before court of Special Judge NIA , Patiala House Court , New Delhi.
