Summary of Allegations

The Central Government has received information regarding recovery of High Quality Fake Indian Currency Notes of face value of Rs. 6500/- in the denomination of Rs. 2000 and Rs. 500 along with other Indian genuine currency notes from the possession of two passengers namely, (i) Shri Tasawavar Ali s/o Ishaq Ali and (ii) Shri Liyakat s/o Mumtaj, both residents of village Rasoolpur Dabheri, Budheri, Budhana, District Muzaffaranagar, UP, who came to India through Samjhauta Express from Pakistan, by the Land Custom Station, Attari Railway Station. Accordingly, the said Land Customs Station office prepared a Panchnama, dated - 28/29 2019 and registered a case.
