Summary of Allegations

The Central Government has received information regarding registration of a case FIR No. 07/2019 dated 29.07.2019 at Marpara PS, district Mamit, Mizoram, under sections 471, 476 of the Indian Penal Code and section 14 of Foreigners relating to apprehension of two persons by BSF on 27.07.2019, namely, Mahmud Hassan, r/o, Bahar Char, PS Narsingdi Sadar, district Narsingdi Sadar, Bangladesh and Mohamad Sayad Hussan, r/o Magura, district Magura, Bangladesh, as they were members of Ansal-al-Islam, a terrorist group in Bangladesh and a frontal organization of Al-Qaida and had entered into India through illegal border crossing and fake Indian Aadhaar Card prepared in Bangladesh were also recovered from their possession.
And whereas sections 120B and 121A of the Indian Penal Code and section 20 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, have been added considering the gravity of the offence.

Present Status of Investigation

The case is under investigation.
