Summary of Allegations

The Central Government has received information that a joint cordon and search operation was launched on 20.03.2018 by Kupwara police along with Army and Para Military Forces in the forest area of PS Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. During exchange of fire, which took place in retaliation to indiscriminate firing by the terrorists, 5 terrorists were killed, 03 Army personnel and 02 Police personnel were martyred and 02 police personnel were injured.

The case is under investigation.
