As per GOI, MHA order No. 17017/16/2010-IS.IV dated 22/06/2010, NIA took over the investigation of FIR No.98/2008 dated 29.09.2008 of Modasa Police Station, Sabarkantha, Gujarat and re-registered the case on 29/06/2010 at PS. NIA, Delhi as Case RC-07/2010/NIA/DLI under section 120(B),121A, 122, 124A, 154(A), 302, 323 ; Explosive Act -9B (1) (A) & (B) ; Explosive Substances Act-3, 4 & 5; UA(P) Act- 15, 16, 18, 20 of and Bombay Police Act-135.

Summary of Allegations

On 29.9.2008, at about 9.25 P.M., an Improvised Explosive Device placed in the storage compartment of a Hero Honda Passion Motor Cycle exploded in Suka Bazar of Modasa town of Sabarkantha District (H.Q. Himmat Nagar). A fifteen year old boy died and 10 others were injured in the incident.

Present Status

No arrest has been made in this case till now. Efforts are being made to track and arrest the suspects involved in the case. Case closed.
