As per Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Order No. 17011/124/2009-IS-VI dated 18.12.2009, National Investigation Agency (NIA) took over the investigation and registered the case on 13/01/2010 at Police Station NIA, as Case RC-01/2010/NIA/DLI Under section 121-A, 122, 120-B of IPC and Section 16, 17, 18 & 20 UA(P) Act.

Summary of Allegations

The case was registered on the basis of credible information that NSCN – IM (National Socialist Council of Nagaland – Isak Chisi Swu and Thuengaleng Muivah Faction) had made attempts to purchase huge quantity of arms and ammunitions from abroad since the beginning of 2008 onwards to wage war against the country and carry out terrorist activities.

Present Status

On 26/03/2011, charge sheet was filed by NIA before the NIA Special Court, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi against the 04 accused persons. Case is under trial.
