RC-05/2010/NIA-DLI
FIR No. 469/2005 of Kalamessary PS, Kochi City, Kerala was registered
on 9.9.2005. Later, Govt. of India transferred the case to NIA for further investigation.
Accordingly, a Case No.RC-05/2010/NIA-DLI was registered at PS NIA on 22.01.2010.
Summary of Allegations:
On 09/09/2005, at about 9.30 PM, accused persons hijacked
a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus and burnt it in Kalamassery, Kochi
and demanded the release of their accomplice who was in Coimbatore Jail at that
time.
Present Status: Charge sheet was filed in the before the Hon’ble JFCM-II, Aluva, Ernakulam, Kerala by Kerala Police on 19/02/2009 against 09 accused persons u/s120B,121(A),364,323,506(ii), 436 r/w 34 of IPC, Sec. 4 of PDPP Act, Sec. 27 of Arms Act charge Sheet filed on 17/12/2010 at NIA Special Court, Cochin against 13 accused persons namely u/s120B,121(A),323,364,435,506(ii) r/w 34 of IPC, Sec. 4 of PDPP Act, Sec. 16 (i) (b) , 18 of UA(P) Act 1967. Trial yet to be scheduled.
