Terrorist Activities of PLA
As per GOI, MHA order No. MHA order No.1-11034/28/2011-IS-IV dated 08.06.2011 NIA registered a suo-motu case on 11/07/2011 at PS ,NIA Guwahati, as case RC- 01/2011/NIA-GUW under section 120B, & 121A of IPC and Section - 17, 18, 18A & 18B of UA(P) Act.
Summary of Allegations
There is a credible information to the effect that People’s Liberation Army (PLA), a proscribed terrorist organization as per UA(P) Act, 1967 active in Manipur, is involved in a criminal conspiracy to wage war against the country by threatening the unity,
integrity, security and sovereignty of India. As per reliable information, PLA had imparted training to the cadre of Left Wing Extremists(LWE) in the main land of India for waging war against the country. In pursuance of the criminal conspiracy, some unknown
members of PLA visited Champai (Mizoram), Guwahati, Kolkata and Rourkela on or around 15 July 2010 to meet cadres of LWE organizations.
Present Status of Investigation
Case is under trial in the Hon’ble NIA Special Court, Guwahati.
